Luciano Vietto’s season-long loan to Sevilla from Atletico Madrid has been made official by both clubs, and he is joined by Fiorentina’s Andres Schetino.
Vietto passed a medical and began training with Sevilla on Friday, and Kevin Gameiro’s transfer to Atleti has since gone through, in turn facilitating the announcement that the Argentine is now a Nervionenses player.
It is understood Sevilla have paid €4m to take Vietto on loan, which has reportedly been reflected in Gameiro’s €41m fee, while the Andalusians have also secured a purchase option for the attacker next summer.
The Argentine heads a double swoop for Sevilla as Fiorentina starlet Schetino has also arrived on a season-long loan.
The 22-year-old is a defensive midfielder and has represented Uruguay at all youth levels, including the Under-22 side that won gold at last year’s Pan American Games.
