Antoine Griezmann’s advisor reveals the France forward held talks with Paris Saint-Germain before re-signing with Atletico Madrid.
Eric Olhats is quoted as telling Radio Monte Carlo that Griezmann had an offer from PSG sporting director Olivier Letang before committing his future to Los Colchoneros.
“There were discussions with Letang. There was interest from Paris. We listened because it’s a club that has goals and means. After a lot of discussions we opted for continuity,” Olhats said, according to RMC Sport.
“He will stay [at Atletico]. There were approaches but it’s a certainty, 100%, he will be at Atletico next season. Should he have gone somewhere to win more trophies? Real Madrid and Barcelona are full in attack for now. I believe Atletico are armed to win trophies. We’ll see.”
