Del Bosque & Casillas make peace

Vicente del Bosque and Iker Casillas appear to have made peace after the goalkeeper tweeted a picture of the pair, wishing the retiring Coach “good luck”.

Del Bosque revealed in the wake of Spain’s Euro 2016 elimination last week that Casillas had been “unhappy” with his role as second-choice goalkeeper and felt “anger” towards his coaching staff.

However, the goalkeeper took to Twitter on Monday to hint a reconciliation had taken place at La Ciudad de Futbol, the Spanish Football Federation’s (RFEF) headquarters, that morning.

“This morning at La Ciudad de Futbol, 25 years together and we’re still here! A hug, boss! Good luck!” he wrote on his official Twitter account.
