Girona-Osasuna to meet for Primera

Girona will meet Osasuna for a place in La Primera next season after they came from behind to beat Cordoba on Sunday.

The Catalans were dealt a blow on 56 minutes when Xisco gave the Andalusians the lead, adding to their 2-1 victory in the first leg, but Girona responded through Borja Garcia´s equaliser nine minutes later and levelled the tie 10 minutes from time when Aday made it 3-3 on aggregate, forcing extra-time.

Cordoba were obliged to attack in the additional 30 minutes, with a draw enough to send Girona into the play-off final courtesy of their final league position, but Marius Stankevicius´94th minute red card made it difficult for them.

Christian Herrera finally settled things in the 117th minute to set up a date with Osasuna, who knocked out Gimnastic de Tarragona.

The final place in Spain's top flight will be decided by a two-legged tie, with the first leg at El Sadar on Wednesday and the return leg at Montlivi next Saturday.
