Las Palmas insist Barcelona will have to meet Mauricio Lemos’ transfer clause and could offer him to Real Madrid out of spite.
Barca raised the ire of the islanders with their first approach for the centre-back after it was alleged they tried to talk him out of re-signing with the club to make it easier for them to take him.
Las Palmas have rejected an offer of €4m with €8m in add-ons and Mundo Deportivo report the club won’t negotiate with the Catalans and if Barca want Lemos, they’ll have to trigger his stipulated release fee.
Lemos could also be offered to Madrid as Las Palmas don’t expect further offers from Barca, and Lemos has been kept abreast of all developments, MD add.
