Atletico Madrid President Enrique Cerezo rules out Matias Kranevitter leaving the club. ‘Why? He’s very young and he’s growing.’
Kranevitter was signed from River Plate in January but featured only sporadically in the second half of the season, leading to suggestions the midfielder would be loaned or sold, but Cerezo dismissed the idea in an interview with Argentina’s TyC Sports.
“He’s a great player and a great person and very important to Atletico, even though he has played very little. Why loan or sell him? All players want to play, but Matias is very young, he’s growing a lot, developing his technique and I think that is the basis for Atletico in the coming seasons,” Cerezo said, AS reports.
