Morata picks up hamstring knock

Alvaro Morata missed Spain’s first training session for Euro 2016 with a hamstring knock but has already begun work on his recovery.

Morata failed to complete Spain’s 6-1 win against South Korea last Wednesday after he pulled up with the minor injury.

Tests subsequently showed “minimal edema in the hamstring muscle of his left leg”, and Marca reports the Juventus striker did not participate in training on Saturday.

Instead, a statement on La Roja’s website explains he trained alone in the gym for the purposes of “readjustment and functional recovery”.
