Del Bosque: Spain ready for Euro 2016

Vicente del Bosque feels Spain are ready for Euro 2016 but warns of ‘a lot of candidates to win.’

La Roja have claimed the last two editions of the tournament and are among the favourites again, a status likely to be enhanced by the commanding victory over South Korea in Austria.

“We played fluently. We struggled in the first 20 minutes. The two goals that followed changed that and they were definitive. We’ve improved these past few days, we’re ready for the start of the Euros, but we’ve got very good opponents,” he said after the 6-1 win, AS reports.

“The final result doesn’t reflect the difference between the two teams. They’re better than they appear.

“[Alvaro Morata’s injury?] It’s only a knock without complications. It doesn’t seem to be important.

“We’re in good form. We’re favourites to win but there are a lot of candidates, it’s a different matter. We dream of being champions again. We’re the favourites and the defending champions. We have a dream, a hope, and we’ll see if it’s possible. But again, there are big rivals.”
