Barcelona have reportedly branched out to the Grzegorz Krychowiak’s representatives with a view to making a bid for the Sevilla midfielder.
According to Mundo Deportivo, Barca called the Stellar Group, the agency who represent Krychowiak, before the Copa del Rey final to learn of the Pole’s availability.
However, the newspaper stresses that Sevilla have yet to be contacted by the Catalans, although the former Reims man is contracted to Los Nervionenes until 2019 and has a release clause of €45m.
Nonetheless, Sevilla may decide to cash in on Krychowiak as they could be in line for a profit of up to 10 times the €4.5m they paid Reims in the summer of 2014.
Sergio Busquets is currently Barca’s only defensive midfielder guaranteed to be at the club next season as Javier Mascherano has been linked with a move away, while Sergi Roberto is reportedly destined for right-back.
