Sassuolo full-back Sime Vrsaljko is said to be on Atletico Madrid’s wanted list, though there is competition from Liverpool and Napoli.
AS cites reports from the Gazzetta dello Sport who say there is an agreement between Sassuolo and the Naples club but other gossip from the peninsula puts Atletico in a strong position.
It’s suggested there could be developments with Atleti this week as they recover from the Champions League Final and move the focus from contract renewals with the likes of Saul Niguez and Tiago Mendes to finalising new faces. A fee of between €15m and €20m is mooted for the Croatia international.
