Las Palmas are reportedly unhappy with Barcelona’s approach for Mauricio Lemos and don’t want to sell to the Catalans.
Canarias7, who reported the initial interest from La Blaugrana in the defender, say Las Palmas didn’t appreciate how Barca tried to beat them to the player who was on loan in the Canary Islands from Rubin Kazan but has now signed a permanent deal until 2021. Barca are also accused of trying to convince Lemos not to sign for Las Palmas and have already had one bid rejected.
If Barca are to get Lemos from Las Palmas then they will have to pay his full €30m clause as a result of the ‘arrogance’ they are accused of showing by President Miguel Angel Ramirez.
Las Palmas are open to selling Lemos and will negotiate with other clubs from a starting point of €10m, but Barca’s interest will be vetoed.
