Javier Mascherano feels there is no margin for error as his Barcelona team enters the final phase of the season.
The Catalans need to beat Granada to clinch back-to-back La Liga titles this weekend before taking on Sevilla in the final of the Copa del Rey on May 22.
The Argentine is aware there must be no slip-ups at Los Carmenes, with Real Madrid waiting to pounce amid the intense psychological pressure of the run-in.
“At the end of the day we are not only playing against our opponents, but ourselves,” conceded Mascherano in an interview with ESPN.
“We are a unit and know it will all depend on us. It will be a tough game like the others we’ve had in the past few weeks.
“There is going to be no margin for error, which means we’ll try to go out in the best way possible to avoid any mistakes.
“We know it will be difficult playing against a team who have nothing to play for, but hopefully we’ll get more freedom and time.”
