Sevilla return for Vidal?

Barcelona midfielder Aleix Vidal could make a sensational return to Sevilla this summer and is also being linked with a move to Milan.

The 26-year-old, who signed a five-year contract with the Catalans last June following an €18m switch from Sevilla, was not allowed to appear for Barca until January this year due to a transfer embargo.

However, he has started just six times since then and neither he nor Dani Alves, his rival for the right-wingback spot at the Camp Nou, is assured of remaining in boss Luis Enrique´s plans for next term.

Asked about Vidal´s possible return to the Sanchez Pizjuan, Sevilla director of football Monchi was non-committal.

“I have a good relationship with him and his advisors and I think he´s paying for those six months of inactivity, although I must underline that at Barcelona they are thinking of him as one for the future,” Monchi told Canal Sur Radio.

In the meantime, Milan are reported to have made contact with Vidal via the Promosport agency that represents him, although the Serie A giants have not decided whether to make a bid for the player or consider a loan arrangement.
