Report: Bale to miss Valencia tie

Gareth Bale will miss Real Madrid’s game against Valencia with a knee injury, it’s been reported.

AS says the Wales international has a minor problem in his right knee, suffered in the Champions League semi-final win over Manchester City, that will render him unavailable for four or five days.

Bale underwent a test on the knee on Friday morning and it’s believed he was diagnosed with a slight sprain and should be back for Madrid’s final game of the season at Deportivo La Coruna.

The club have since confirmed Bale's injury, though not his expected down time, and an Achilles problem for goalkeeper Keylor Navas.

Madrid host Los Che a point behind Atletico Madrid and leaders Barcelona, the former going to Levante while the latter host Espanyol in a Catalan derby.
