Filipe Luis doesn’t want Atletico Madrid to be drawn against Real Madrid in the Champions League semi-finals.

The left-back impressed as Atletico knocked out champions Barcelona at the quarter-final stage, his run leading to a late penalty, converted by Antoine Griezmann, for his second goal of the game.

“All I ask for the semis is that we don’t get Madrid. I don’t want that,” told reporters, according to Marca.

Filipe added that despite going out in the last eight, Barca are still, to him, the best team in the world.

“For me they are, by far. They’ve got the best forwards in the world and will always create chances, but we were able to withstand it,” he continued.

“I never thought football would give me a game as beautiful as Barca in 2014 but today has been better.”

Filipe stressed, however, that the semi-final isn’t Atleti’s objective, and warned against allowing complacency to set in.

“We’ve got what we wanted and we’re satisfied, but we haven’t won anything,” he insisted.

“If we relax for a moment, you can throw away the season.”
