Wales manager Chris Coleman says he hopes Gareth Bale remains at Real Madrid rather than returns to the Premier League ‘for selfish reasons.’
Bale was this week linked with a return to English football by the British Press but Coleman wants the forward to remain where he is.
“I’d rather see Bale in Spain, at Madrid, for selfish reasons,” AS reports the former Real Sociedad Coach told the Daily Mirror.
“When you play in the Premier League, you know how it is. It’s a battle every week and a demanding League. It’s a fantastic competition and up there with the best in the world.
“However in Spain there isn’t as much fatigue in the second half of the season. The quality is there but the physical demand on the players isn’t the same.
“But Bale will have my full support and the support of all of Wales wherever he decides to play.”
