Rubi bemoaned Levante’s inability to take their chances against Sporting Gijon as his side stay stuck at the bottom of the table.
The game at Ciutat de Valencia ended goalless and though the Coach dismissed criticism of his team, he admitted they need to be more clinical if they’re going to get out of danger.
“We can’t be accused of lacking anything. We lacked justice, because when you generate seven chances, some very clear, you have to score some,” he said post-match, AS reports.
“That’s not taking anything away from Sporting, who played a great game.
“Each miss has its circumstances. There were millimetres, no glaring faults. There’s nothing to blame.
“We’ve a game fewer and only one more point. Even though we didn’t win, we’re still alive. We’re four points [from safety] and there are a lot of games left. We’re convinced we have time.”
