Spain Under-21 Coach Albert Celades was pleased his side ended the international break with a win over Norway Under-21s after defeat to Croatia’s kids.
La Rojita were heavily beaten by their Croatian counterparts but came back to dismiss Norway 1-0 with a goal from Everton’s Gerard Deulofeu.
“We won and we had moments of good play against a good team with good defensive organisation,” Celades said, AS reports.
“We started very well, although it cost us more in the second half. We wanted to reverse the situation and we insisted on it, because we had to leave with good feelings after these matches and knowing we won’t compete until September.
“There was great energy and intensity but we didn’t kill the game when we had chances to do so in the first and second halves, so that uncertainty remained.
“I want to thank the players for their effort in difficult conditions and they have worked to the maximum.”
