Gerard Pique has insisted that Barcelona will score penalties “when we have to in big games” after another miss on Saturday against Getafe.
Barca made it 10 failures from the spot for the season in La Liga when Lionel Messi fluffed his lines en route to a 6-0 victory, but the defender is confident his side will put their misses behind them when it matters the most.
“In big games, when we have to score penalties, we will,” he said after the game.
“We always try to play from the start at the highest level and [on Saturday] we were able to achieve that.
“We scored quickly and that helped us face the game.
“We must go on like this. Every time we play, there are fewer games left, and every time we play, we must move closer [to the title], so we must continue with the same mentality.
“We try to do our best, we’ve been together for many years and that makes us understand one another well.
“We can combine our play quickly and sometimes we do things without looking, but I think we can still get better.
“[On whether he was tired about the Periscope issue being reported], it doesn’t tire me at all.”
