Del Bosque: Squad almost complete

Spain boss Vicente del Bosque reveals he has made “a rough list” of the 23 men he will take to Euro 2016 this summer.

La Roja travel to Italy and Romania for pre-tournament friendlies in three weeks’ time, with plenty of speculation over who will be picked, Athletic Bilbao’s Aritz Aduriz the biggest new face expected.

“This squad will be similar [to the one for the Euros],” the Coach said at an award ceremony in his native Salamanca, AS reports.

“I’ll call up a squad for the two friendlies. I won’t say those who are called up will definitely go to the Euros, but I’ve made a rough list of those who will.

“Our doctors are in touch with Diego Costa, whose injury doesn’t seem very important.

“We’ll see if he can come. He’s playing very well with his team and a very important player for us.

“There’s still time to decide the first-choice goalkeeper. We’ve always said that we have [David de Gea] and we’re happy that everyone who’ll be picked are in good condition. He played well against Liverpool.

“My continuity [as Spanish Coach] a minor matter. Everything’s in order and now we have to face a competition in which we’re champions and there’s plenty of time to resolve my future.”
