Aritz Aduriz has assured that “I won’t stop” scoring after reaching 30 goals for the season during Athletic Bilbao’s 4-1 win against Deportivo La Coruna.
The striker, who turned 35 on February 11, netted a hat-trick at San Mames to comprehensively send the Galicians packing, amidst renewed calls for him to be called up by Spain when they face Romania and Italy in friendlies later this month.
“I won’t stop. I’m very grateful for my teammates,” he said after the game, referring to his form.
“One day I’ll return the favour because they help me a lot and make it much easier for forwards like myself. I’m also happy about our complete performance.
“[On Vicente del Bosque calling him up], he has very difficult decisions to make on many players, but I respect him a lot.”
