Luka Modric will miss Real Madrid’s game against Levante due to an ankle injury suffered against Atletico Madrid.
AS reports the midfielder needed several stitches in a wound received in the 1-0 reverse and hasn’t been able to train with his teammates on Tuesday morning.
It’s not a muscle injury, the club has confirmed, but a cut that has restricted his involvement since Saturday to working on his own on Monday and in the gym on Tuesday.
Modric joins Karim Benzema and Marcelo on the injured list and only Alvaro Arbeloa is back from the senior players who sat out the derby.
Martin Odegaard, Marcos Llorente and Borja Mayoral joined in with first team training on Tuesdsay, AS notes.
