Sevilla have announced that their Copa del Rey final against Barcelona on May 22 will be played at Atletico Madrid’s Vicente Calderon.
Both clubs had reportedly pushed for the Santiago Bernabeu to host the cup decider, but Real Madrid’s reluctance to give the green light was followed by Bruce Springsteen being scheduled to perform at the arena on May 21.
Consequently, the Andalucians’ official Twitter account has since confirmed the Calderon as the venue, with Atleti most recently hosting the 2012 final, when Barca defeated Athletic Bilbao 3-0 in Pep Guardiola’s final game as Coach.
