Luis Suarez claimed Barcelona’s 2-1 victory over Las Palmas on Saturday was a game “which wins you the League”.
The Uruguayan broke the deadlock at Gran Canaria, despite going on to miss a succession of chances, as La Blaugrana opened up a nine-point lead atop La Liga, and he underlined the importance of his side’s “suffering”.
“You have to suffer in order to win trophies, and these are the games which win you the League,” he said after the game.
“It’s not an excuse, but we know that we’ve played a lot of games in the past month-and-a-half.
“The most important thing is that the team keep picking up points. I try to help with goals and assists.”
