Milan ‘like Emery, but…’

Milan joint-CEO Adriano Galliani admits an admiration for Sevilla’s Unai Emery but ‘that doesn’t mean he’ll come…’

Galliani was discussing Carlos Bacca, the striker Milan signed from Los Rojiblancos in the summer, and confirmed Emery is also on the club’s radar.

“Bacca is a tremendous player. When the ball comes to him, it’s a goal,” Football Italia reports Estadio Deportivo as quoting Galliani.

“We followed him for the last two years at Sevilla. I really like their Coach, Unai Emery. That doesn’t mean he’ll come to Milan though.”

Galliani, who tried to re-appoint Carlo Ancelotti at San Siro after the Italian left Real Madrid, went on to claim that if Ancelotti had stayed at Santiago Bernabeu, Bacca would have joined him.

“Carlo also likes Bacca. If he’d continued, Bacca would be playing with [Karim] Benzema,” he revealed.
