Paco Jemez was “immensely pleased” with Rayo Vallecano’s performance in their 2-2 draw at Sporting Gijon on Friday.
Los Vallecanos came back from behind twice at El Molinon to extend their unbeaten run in La Liga to five matches, courtesy of goals from in-form pair Miku and Jozabed, and the Coach was delighted with the football his players served up.
“It was a great game of football. We saw a great show of intensity and high competition,” he said after the game.
“Both teams must be satisfied as the result could’ve gone either way.
“We weren’t so good in the first half, but then we showed personality. We played well all over the pitch.
“I’m immensely pleased because the team showed me a lot [of good things].
“The most valuable thing is that the team did more than the result itself.”
