Victor Sanchez is confident Deportivo La Coruna have learned their lesson from their 3-2 defeat to Sporting Gijon ahead of Saturday’s rematch at El Molinon.
The Galicians managed to overturn a 2-0 deficit but were ultimately defeated by Alex Menendez, with all five goals coming before half-time, but the Coach feels his side have learned from mistakes in that match.
“Sporting arrive in good form, but in their last game at Valencia, rather than seek the victory, they found it,” he said at a Press conference.
“They played very deeply and had a good performance from their goalkeeper. They’re very neat [with their play].
“[On the 3-2 defeat to Sporting at Riazor], we have the experience and memory of the first round [of the season].
“We’ve learned the lesson that we can’t start this game or any other later [than the first whistle].
“We want to have the control and domination we showed against Rayo, but with more prolificacy.”
