Zidane signs new Madrid deal

Zinedine Zidane has signed a new contract with Real Madrid to reflect his status as first team Coach.

Zidane replaced in January replaced Rafa Benitez on the Santiago Bernabeu bench, having been in command of Real Madrid Castilla.

Marca notes Zidane didn’t get a new deal when he stepped in for his predecessor but has recently agreed terms, with his contract still running to 2018, as did his Castilla deal.

There wasn’t a negotiation, the report adds, as Zidane accepted Madrid’s proposal, but his salary has been increased to mirror his new job.
