Rossi determined to help Levante

Giuseppe Rossi says he is determined to help Levante avoid relegation after completing his loan switch from Fiorentina on Friday.

The Italy international is free to make his Granotes debut on Monday against Las Palmas, with his new employers bottom of La Liga after 20 games, but he insists he has joined to play a role in their survival bid and not only prove his fitness for Euro 2016.

“I have a huge desire to play,” he told Levante’s official website.

“I’d be very happy to play [against Las Palmas on Monday].

“I thank Levante for this opportunity. I really want to play because I’ve been given very few opportunities in the last few.

“I come with the hope of helping the team stay in La Liga, and I’m ready. I’m very happy to be at Levante.

“I have very good memories of this League. I’ve played in Italy for the last three years, and now I’m back [in Spain]. I really want to do well.”
