‘Copa inviting for Celta’

Eduardo Berizzo believes the Copa del Rey is an ‘inviting’ tournament for Celta Vigo to reach their potential.

Celta face Atletico Madrid in the quarter-final and Berizzo told the Press that his players need to remember it’s a two-legged tie, and doesn’t have to be won at Balaidos.

“It will be a tough, tough game. It’s a two-legged tie. We have to be very careful because goals are of significant importance,” he noted, AS reports.

“We have to know that it isn’t just a game in Vigo but in seven days at Vicente Calderon.

“We face it as if it were a League game. The importance of the tie, the opponent, our form, the feeling that this competition invites us to reach our potential.”

Berizzo should have Claudio Beauvue available after his move from Lyon, the Coach confirming there was some paperwork still outstanding.

“If he’s allowed to play because the papers he lacks arrive, then he’s an option,” he added.

“He’s here to play and he’s in shape. He could be a good alternative from the bench.”
