Luis Suarez could be involved in Barcelona’s Copa del Rey game at Athletic Bilbao later as his appeal is heard by the Sports Administrative Tribunal [TAD].
Marca confirms Barca have appealed the second game of the Uruguayan’s two-match ban from the Copa win over Espanyol.
Suarez was suspended for alleged comments made after the first leg of the Catalan derby, when it was claimed he called an opponent ‘a waste of space’ and sparked a scuffle in the tunnel.
The forward missed the second leg as a result of the sanction but Barca have appealed the second game of the ban, which if it stands would see Suarez unavailable at San Mames.
Barca failed in an appeal to the Appeals Committee but took their case to TAD, Suarez having denied from the start using the words attributed to him.
