Romanian striker Ciprian Marica is reportedly “a step away” from securing a return to Getafe.
The 30-year-old has been unattached since leaving Konyaspor last summer, and DigiSport claims he is in talks over a move back to Coliseum Alfonso Perez.
El Geta are in need of reinforcements following Angel Lafita's departure to Al-Jazira, and their President Angel Torres is believed to have been pursuing Marica for some time.
Marica, who has already rejected an offer from Steaua Bucharest, scored six goals in 27 appearances for Getafe in 2013-14 but left after just one season.
Torres failed to negotiate an extension for the former Stuttgart and Schalke man, before coming unstuck again prior to the start of the current campaign.
