David Bettoni is to be Zinedine Zidane’s assistant as Real Madrid Coach and not Santiago Solari, who stays with the Juvenil B team.
It had been thought that Zidane’s former teammate and fellow Champions League winner Solari would assist the Frenchman after he replaced Rafa Benitez on the Santiago Bernabeu bench.
But instead Bettoni, who played with Zidane at Cannes and has been his assistant with Madrid’s Castilla team, will make the step up as well, according to AS.
Luis Ramis is expected to take over from Zidane as Coach of Castilla, having been working with the Juvenil A squad.
