David Beckham has backed his former Real Madrid teammate Zinedine Zidane to succeed as Los Blancos’ Coach after he replaced Rafa Benitez.
Beckham and Zidane overlapped at Santiago Bernebau and the former England captain used an Instagram post to praise the appointment.
“Does it get any better than this? A man that has been the best at a game we all love, taking over a club that myself and many people love,” Beckham wrote as a caption on a picture of he and Zidane celebrating.
“Someone with drive, passion and also doesn’t accept failure on any level…taking over from a manager that has huge experience and respect in the game, but taking on a position he will relish. The best person for the job.”
