Del Bosque: A difficult group

Vicente del Bosque admits Spain have been dealt a “difficult” group for Euro 2016 after Saturday’s draw in Paris.

La Roja have been paired with 1996 runners-up Czech Republic, 2008 semi-finalists Turkey and 2012 rivals Croatia in Group D, and the Coach believes his country have their work cut out if they are to win a third consecutive European title.

“It’s a difficult group. We’ve seen some of these teams make life difficult for us in the past,” he told reporters.

“We hope to win a third consecutive European title, and it’s extraordinary that no-one has ever done it before.

“There are some very tough teams [in the competition], who have won major trophies in the past.”
