The Spain squad is in Madrid after leaving Belgium following the cancellation of Tuesday’s friendly due to the raised terror threat, with Nolito commenting.
The Celta Vigo forward was the only player to speak to reporters upon landing, AS notes, and reveals at no point was he concerned despite the game being called off in light of the terror attacks in France to which a Belgian national has been linked.
“At no time did I feel fear, just respect. I thought we were going to play,” he revealed.
The players left Belgium on a 9am local time flight and were in Madrid just after 11am, and will now return to their clubs to prepare for the weekend’s fixtures.
