Cristiano Ronaldo reportedly told Florentino Perez that Real Madrid “will not win anything with this Coach” in a stinging attack on Rafa Benitez.
According to El Confidencial, the forward made the remarks to the President in a meeting before Los Blancos’ 3-2 defeat to Sevilla last weekend.
“With this Coach, we won’t win anything,” the newspaper quotes the player as saying.
El Confidencial also claims that the relationship between Perez and Ronaldo has broken down due to the latter’s alleged flirtations with Paris Saint-Germain boss Laurent Blanc after a recent Champions League match, the patron branding him “ungrateful”.
Perez is also believed to have told one of his most trusted aides: “If someone pays his buyout clause then he can go.”
Ronaldo, meanwhile, is reportedly unhappy with what he perceives as favourable treatment on Perez’s part to Gateth Bale, with the attacking pair’s relationship “absent”, both on and off the pitch.
