Good afternoon and welcome to Football Espana’s live coverage of Atletico Madrid’s Champions League visit to Astana.
Diego Simeone’s side have made the almost-7,000km journey for the fourth round of Group C fixtures, having beaten the Kazakhstan outfit 4-0 at Vicente Calderon in October.
Atleti trail Benfica on the head-to-head record but hold a five-point lead over Astana and are a point clear of Galatasaray after three rounds of matches.
Astana will be out of qualification contention if they lose and Benfica beat Galatasaray later, while there is no set of results that can put Atleti through at this stage.
Temperatures of -12 and heavy snow have been forecast for Astana, with Simeone backing his side to cope not only with the conditions, but the hosts’ artificial pitch.
