Luis Garcia Plaza is top of Levante’s list to replace Lucas Alcaraz, who was sacked on Sunday night, but it may be a complicated appointment.
AS reports Garcia Plaza, who trained Levante between 2008 and 2011, is the preferred candidate of President Quico Catalan, but Garcia is under contract to Baniyas in the UAE.
Getting him out of his current deal may be too much for Levante and so other options are on the agenda, among then former Almeria boss Francisco.
Francisco is said to be highly-rated by Catalan and would be approached if Garcia Plaza proves unobtainable.
Juan Ignacio Martinez’s name was also mentioned as a possibility but Levante have reportedly rejected the idea.
