Sandoval: Granada great until…

Jose Ramon Sandoval lamented the final few minutes of Granada’s visit to Sporting Gijon after they went from leading 3-1 to drawing 3-3.

Two late Sporting goals meant the sides each took a point and Sandoval said post-match that failing to win from such a strong position was unacceptable.

“We lost two points. We have to know how to play the final minutes because you can’t draw a match that’s 3-1,” he complained, AS reports.

“The draw is our demerit. We had a great game until the final minutes, but it’s a serious game at this ground and you have to push until the end.

“Real Betis won unfairly at El Molinon and Valencia at the last minute, and Real Madrid drew. It’s one of the most difficult grounds.”
