Spain Under-21 Coach Albert Celades is ‘calm and confident’ after his side beat Georgia in qualifying for the 2017 European Under-21 Championships.
La Rojita made it two wins from two Group 6 games with a 5-2 triumph in Tbilisi, Barcelona forward Munir El Haddadi scoring twice while Marco Asensio, Borja Mayoral and Dani Ceballos were also on target.
“The feelings are good because we won at a very difficult place. We were better in the second half and we leave with a win against an important team,” Celades said, Marca reports.
“We expected the match to go as it did. We knew they were a good opponent despite them not having a name that caught some people’s attention.
“It was always difficult but the team responded and we can return to Spain happily. These victories reinforce our style. The player showed a great character and can continue with the same style from the earliest youth level to the senior team.”
