Paco Jemez is more focused on a good Rayo Vallecano performance than recording a victory and wants Deportivo La Coruna to be respected.
Rayo have yet to win this season, picking up one point from their first two games, but Jemez told reporters that winning isn’t everything.
“I want the team to play well. As long as they do that, I’m calm,” he said at a pre-match Press conference, Marca reports.
“Of course, the team wants to win, but the important thing is they do better every week. That’s what will win us matches. There are no easy teams in this League.
“Depor will come looking to win their first game. They’re a team that deserves respect and we have to play very well to win.
“They have strengthened very well, have great quality and we have to press very well. We can’t leave them time to think. We have to be very aggressive.”
