Thomas Vermaelen has claimed that “I finally feel like a Barcelona player” after a promising start to the season.
The defender's debut campaign at Camp Nou was sabotaged by a hamstring injury, but he has since started the Catalans' first two La Liga matches of the season, even scoring the winner against Malaga, and he feels he is close to regaining top form.
“I'm not afraid to get stuck in and close to my best form. I finally feel like a Barca player,” he told Belgian publication Sporza.
“The Supercopa didn't go well, but I'm happy to have been a starter in the first two League games.”
