Gerard Pique reportedly told his Barcelona teammates to “forget that lot in Madrid” in the aftermath of Tuesday’s UEFA Super Cup victory over Sevilla.
A video leaked on Friday saw the defender urging his colleagues to perform a lap of honour in Tbilisi, with the intention of humiliating Real Madrid, his side’s arch-rivals.
“Come on lads, let’s celebrate! Forget that lot from Madrid. Let them see us doing our lap,” Marca has him on record as saying.
It is the second time that Pique has publicly denounced Madrid after his jibe about Kevin Roldan, the singer at Cristiano Ronaldo’s controversial 30th birthday party, during Barca’s recent treble celebrations.
