Gareth Bale was left red-faced after a social media post declaring the end of pre-season, despite Real Madrid still having the Trofeo Benabeu to play.
“Last game of pre-season, not the result we were hoping for but a decent team performance. Next stop La Liga,” the Wales international wrote on Instagram.
But AS point out that Madrid are due to play Galatasaray in the Bernabeu Trophy, on August 18, and that will be Los Blancos’ final game of the summer, although the fixture was a late addition to the schedule, only confirmed a matter of days ago.
