‘More risk at Sevilla’

Sevilla new boy Michael Krohn-Dehli has lifted the lid on the club ahead of the UEFA Super Cup against Barcelona.

Krohn-Dehli moved to Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan on a free transfer from Celta Vigo after three years at Balaidos and discussed the reaction in his native Denmark to the switch.

“It’s good for a small country like Denmark that one of their players could be at a big team and Sevilla is one of those teams,” he said, AS reports.

“Sevilla had a good season last year but we always want to improve. If we do we’ll be fighting with Atletico Madrid and Valencia.

“I’m very happy with my teammates. Everywhere is different but I’m adapting well. There are differences in football and this is a bigger team than we’re I’ve been before.

“Here you have to play with more risks and train harder. It’s normal that players aren’t at their best physical level but we have time.

“The squad is good now. There are players in every position. The club will assess others and whether or not they’re needed.

“I play in a similar position to Ever Banega. We could play together and he has a lot of quality.”

Sevilla face Barca in little more than a week, the showpiece between the Champions League and Europa League winners taking place in Georgia.

“We’re working hard. There are a lot of new players and we know Sevilla’s style,” Krohn-Dehli replied when asked about the team’s preparations.

“It’s going well. We want to be at 100% because that’s the only way to beat a team like Barcelona.

“Lionel Messi is the best in the world and he’ll be difficult to stop even though he’s not in training yet.”
