Anderlecht have dismissed Sevilla’s opening bid of €6m for midfielder Dennis Praet as “ridiculous”.
The 21-year-old is considered one of Belgium’s most precocious young talents and was crowned the Pro League’s best player of last season, leading his club’s President to demand a “fair” price.
“[Sevilla’s offer for Praet] is ridiculous,” Roger Vanden Stock told Het Nieuwsblad.
“We want a fair price [for him]. He was the winner of Belgian Golden Shoe last season.”
The likes of Atletico Madrid and Aston Villa have also been linked with Praet, who is reportedly valued at €15m by Anderlecht.
