The agent of Iker Casillas has claimed that Cristiano Ronaldo “is preparing for his departure from Real Madrid”.
The Portuguese recently sold his image rights to Valencia owner Peter Lim in an unsolicited move, and Santos Marquez believes the deal is a definite sign that the player is looking to leave Santiago Bernabeu in the near future.
“One day, [Perez] will have to explain why Cristiano works for another company other than Madrid,” he told AS.
“Imagine Cristiano generating €40m and giving it to Peter Lim, the owner of Valencia. It’d swell the coffers of Valencia and that’d be deplorable.
“Cristiano is preparing for his departure from Madrid because [the sale of his image rights] isn’t normal.
“It seems like Madrid no longer exist. [Perez] is the President and Madrid are beneath him. Florentino’s beyond good and evil.
“[Perez] is very honest when it comes to contracts, but he is exploiting the goose that lays the golden egg, which is the squad.”
