Phil Neville’s appointment as Valencia assistant Coach is now official after the Englishman began work on Monday.
Conflicting reports of the former Manchester United and Everton utility man joining Los Che emerged last week as the club confirmed his arrival, only for BBC Sport to brand the announcement as premature.
However, he tweeted on Monday: “Morning – 1st day with my new team – New life new challenge can’t wait to get started.
Valencia owner Peter Lim owns a 50 percent stake in English non-League club Salford City, a joint-venture between Neville, his brother Gary and former United teammates Ryan Giggs, Paul Scholes and Nicky Butt.
