Real Betis are plotting an ambitious loan swoop for Chelsea winger Mohamed Salah, according to Al-Quds Al-Arabi.
The Arabic-language newspaper, based in the UK, claims the La Liga new boys are among the leading teams in the race for the 23-year-old, who spent the second half of last season at Fiorentina, scoring nine goals in 23 appearances.
Eduardo Macia negotiated the deal that took Salah to La Viola, who also retain a €16m purchase option, but Chelsea are free to consider better others and the sporting director has since deflected to Benito Vilamarin.
Betis have ambitious plans for the upcoming campaign and recently signed Netherlands star Rafael van der Vaart from Hamburg on a Bosman free transfer
